Kate Brock, Executive Director of Ocean State Action & the Ocean State Action Fund

Kate is a Providence native who joined Ocean State Action in June of 2010 after leaving Repower Maine, a local chapter of former Vice President's Al Gore's organization supporting comprehensive climate change legislation. Brock served as Project Director for the Ocean State Action's "Victory Campaign" -- which ran a field, mail and paid media program to support Chafee - and the "My Voice My Vote" voter education campaign that was targeted at the Latino community and focused on gubernatorial candidates and their stances on immigration.

Kristina Fox, Director of Organizing of Ocean State Action

Kristina is a community organizer with a deep committment to empowerment and leadership development in Rhode Island. After graduating from Assumption College, she served two years in Americorps, a federal volunteer corps that works to meet critical needs in communities across America. She continued to build community power by organizing with UNITE HERE! Local 217 including winning pro-working family contracts at the Westin Hotel, Dunkin Donuts Center and the East Bay School Lunch Collaborative. Before joining Ocean State Action, Kristina co-managed the Healthy Foods, Healthy Families program at Farm Fresh Rhode Island--a program that connects low income families with nutrition education and affordable healthy food.
